CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES LOUISVILLE, Ivy Oct 27. Jockey Earl Poole was forced to cancel lus riding engagements Monday on account , of a slight attack of tonsilitis. Jockey S. ODonnelL who went to ride "Wise Counsellor in the Maryland Handicap at Laurel Saturday, returned this afternpon. The Churchill Downs management announced that commencing Tuesday the iirst xace will be called every day at 1:30 p. m. Bed and "White, the two-year-olds colt belonging to A. L, Kirby that suffered a liemorrhage of the lungs Sunday morning, died Monday morning. The colt was valued Iiighly by his owner, and was insured for ,000. IL T. Wafts has bought from T. a Bradley the two-year-old filly Precious One. Watts has in training for Mr. Bradley a couple of good-looking yearlings that he -will race at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans next winter. One is a filly by Delhi and the other a filly by Dick FinnelL
