KILALEA, from a good beginning, ran up to the pacemaker on the.- first turn and, taking the lead, was drawing clear at the end. ATnANNA had her usual speed, but tired in tbe final eighth. CAVEAT EMPTOR ran wide most of the way, but was gaining ground at the finish. RUNPIUDE"S race va a fair one. ARTHUR MIDDLETON had speed for three-eighths. Scratched S3804 Betty Owen, 92. Won driving; second and third the name. RUNDARK, showing the most speed and well ridden, easily withstood the belated challenge of UP AND AT EM and held the latter safe at the end. UP AND AT EM, as usual, was slow to begin and lost ground on the turn, but finished fast in the final eighth. SEA GREEN ran well. LITTLE TOKALON tired badly in the last quarter. VESPER BELLS acted fractiously while at the post but, following SKOKI persistently, was gaining steadily in the final quarter. NIZAM was always well up and ran a good race. MAYOR HOUSE was carried wide on the turns, but finished fast and gamely. RINGLEADER tired badly after running well for a half mile. AMACKASSIN was always far back. JAY MAC was always outrun. LAWRENCE MANNING left the barrier on the outside, clear of all interference and, moving up rapidly on the outside of the leaders rounding the stretch turn, took command and had speed in reserve when WAR WINNER challenged. The latter was slow to leave the barrier and was forced to come around the others, but came fast through the final quarter and was rapidly wearing the winner down. BEDAZZLE showed good speed in forcing the pace and hung on gamely through the stretch. HARRY MAXIM tired after following the leaders closely for a half mile. TOOTERS quit badly in the final quarter. Won easily; second and third driving. BODY GUARD outran his company almost from the start, was rated along in front nicely and won well under restraint at the end. STROLLER forced a fast pace, but could not quite keep up with the winner. HATS UP, from a slow start, raced up on the outside of the field, then made a close turn and, after seeming a contender at the eighth post, tired and just lasted Tor third. FLITTERBELLK was weakly ridden, slow to get under way and lost much ground, but finished fast and could have been third if the distance was a bit farther. Overweights Swcetgrass, 1 pound; Sasper, 2. THE LAMB showed a high order of speed from the start, outran his opponents throughout, shook off WOODIE MONTGOMERY leaving the back stretch and had plenty left when TOM CRAVEN challenged. TOM CRAVEN was outpaced in the enrly running but, on leaving the back stretch, went around the others and finished fast. WOODIE MONTGOMERY forced a fast pace, but was no match for the winner and tired in the last eighth. SHE DEVIL could never get to the leaders, but saved ground throughout and had no mishaps. POOR PUSS made up some ground on the inside near the end. Scratched 85931 Zing. 103. Overweight Whipsaw, 3 pounds.
