Five Winning Stables of 1924 J J. S. COSDEN. In comparison to -1923, when the stable of J. S. Cosden won 97,3S2 and finished third on the list of American owners of the year, the record of that establishment for the year shows a decided decrease in earning power, nevertheless the 1,765 won during the campaign of 1924 is no mean achievement in lieu of the fact that none of the greatest prizes j of the year fell to this stable. The two-year-old Cloudland was the largest winner for Mr. Cosden, with ,625 to his credit. The steeplechaser, Dan IV., comes next with ,250, then follow Yankee Princess with ,750, Rejected with ,450 and Martingale with 1924.sh,400. The complete record for the year follows: Horse. The Glen Riddle Farm Stable won G,SS0 during the racing campaign of 1924. This stable is owned by S. D. Riddle, widely known in racing circles as the owner of the famous Man o War. Mr. Riddle raced several of the get of that noted race horse and in American Flag may have one of the best three-year-olds of next year. American Flag in his two-year-old races displayed some of the quality that made his sire famous and his future career is one of great promise. However, he was not the largest winner for the Glen Riddle Farm Stable this year, that honor falling to Big Blaze, which accounted for 7,315, his most important success being in the rich Washington Handicap at Laurel. American Flag won four races and 1,875. The following is the record of Mr. Riddles stable for the year: Horse Col.SexAge redigrcc 1st. 2d. 3d. Amt.
