. CANADIAN TURFMAN DEAD TORONTO, Ont, Dec 10. Edward Lee Talley, formerly a well known horseman, who resided in Toronto for the past fifteen years, died in Venice, Calif., Sunday, Dec. 7, according to reports received here today. Some years back Mr. Talley was a prominent figure on the American turf, and raced such well known horses as Montclair, winner of the Woodstock Plato at Woodbine Park in 190S; Paul Clifford, Berry Waddell, Awles, Rouie and several others. He also developed jockey Phil Goldstein, who at one time was a prominent rider on the American and Canadian turf. I I
