. — « QUATRAIN IN FINE FETTLE LOCISVILE, Ky., April 3.— Frederick Johnson, owner of Quatrain, ante-post favorite for the Kentucky Derby, made his first visit of the year to Churchill Downs Thursday morning when he drove over from Ia x-ington to arrange for the reception at the local track of his Derby colt, and eleven other horses that he will ship here next Tuesday. Among the horses he will ship here are a number of highly regarded two-year-olds that have been showing a high order of speed in their trials at Johnsons Scarlet Gate Farm. Mr. Johnson, before returning to Lexington, stated that Quatrain is in perfect health and that there has been no let up in his training. He also confirmed the report that he intended sending the crack colt to Pimlico to start in the Preakness.
