THORNCLIFFE PARK PLANS BOWIE. Md.. April 9.— James F. OHara announced this afternoon at the Bowie track that the Thorncliffe Park spring meeting at Toronto would begin June 1 and continue seven days. Thorncliffe Park will race again as an independent organization. The Canadian Racing Associations have signified a willingness to take OHaras Canadian track in and probably will at a meeting to he held toward the end of the current month. But Mr. OHara and his associates decided a couple of days back that they could not wait for the impending meeting for authority to race this spring. The decision of the Canadian Baeing Associations would come too late to permit of the necessary preparation for the meeting. After Thorncliffe Park becomes a member of the Canadian Associations group of tracks, the spring meetings there will probably precede the spring meetings at Woodbine Park.
