Won handily: second and third 1 driving. MY COLONEL raced in close pursuit of CINEMA to the turn and took the lead when entering the stretch with a rush, but was kept under hard riding to maintain his position. CINEMA set a fast 1 pace for the going and raced gamely in the final drive. AlCILLA, off forwardly. was outpaced to the ■trett h. but gained steadily under vigorous riding and easily passed SILVER FINN in the stretch. The ? latter saved ground on the turns, but tired in the last eighth. SLIGO BRANCH raced green. JOHN FINNRGAN dwelt at the start and was not persevered with. EDISTO was a forward contender from the start and. racing into the lead, finished resolutely when challenged by the winner. FINLAND raced wide when entering the e Mretch. but easily outstayed LADDIE BUCK for second place. LADDIE BUCK, off forwardly, was poorly j ridden but set a fast pace to th.» last turn. NICHOLAS began well, but was pulled up en the turn out of f the back stretch and not persevered with. SPOT CASH 1 moved up steadily in the stretch and. under hard riding, was slowly wearing the winner down in the I final strides. MOONRAKER always held MARTINGALE safe. The latter was slightly interfered with h when turning out of the back stretch. DR. OMABA was practically left at the post. FROSTY ROY, on the inside where the going was best for the fntire race, made a challenge after entering the home stretch, but the winner had too much speed in reserve for him. ALTISSIMO was saved in the early running, but was unable to respond when called on. VITAMIN showed early speed. OWASCO was left at the post.
