The presence of Louis Cella in Kansas City is said to b* for the purpose -of closing a deal for the stock of Thomas Carey in the Kansas City Jockey Club, which operates Elm Ridge Park. It is said that a short while back C. C. Christie secured an option on the Carey stock at 0,000. It is currently reported that Christie was acting in the interest of Cella. The stock held by Mr. Carey and Barney Schreiber represents the balance of power in the organiia-tion. Schreiber and Corrigan, as is generally known, have not been pulling together lately and it is claimed that Carey is becoming dissatisfied with the way things are moving at Elm Ridge.
