1 ! 1 ■ ,. , s d ._ t of f 5 LEXINGTON TURF NOTES LEXINGTON*, Ky, May 1. Needle Gun and Borderland, in charge of W. J. Speirs, arrived tonight from Louis- ville. C. Bruce Head, manager of the new race track near St. Louis, arrived today for a short visit. E. W .Simms was among the visitors during the afternoon. He is on his way to his farm near Paris, Ky. The first claim of the meeting came when Mrs. G. W. Church claimed Waponoca from the third race at a cost of ,800. Jockey J. McCoy has signed a contract to ride for J. Spencer. The latter horses will be campaigned at Cleveland and Churchill Downs, later at Aurora. W. K. Hupp, Lexington breeder, reports that Photo had foaled a bay colt by High Time at his farm near this city. The youngster is a brother to Time Exposure.
