SAUCY WINS 1,000 GUINEAS Lord Astors Colors First and Second in English Filly Classic at Newmarket. SPECIAL CABLEGRAM NEWMARKET. England, May 1.— Lord Astors colors linished first and second in the One Thousand Guineas here this afternoon Saucy Sue won the race easily undor a confident ride by Bullock, leading her stable-1 mate. Miss Gadabout, to the finish by six lengths. The Aga Khans Firouze Mahal was third, two lengths further back. Eleven horses started in the filly classic. The weather was bitterly cold but the going was good. Only a moderate crowd turned out Saucy Sue was an overwhelming choice at 1 to 4. Her stahlernate. Miss Gadabout was at 20 to 1 and Firouze Mahal was at 7 to 1. Saucy Sue is a bay filly by Swynford — Good and Gay. The filly by Stefan The Great from Orcuba won the May Two-Year-Old Stakes easily by a length and a half In a field of twenty -nine.
