LEXINGTONS FINE MEETING I I I » Total of 3,313 Distributed • Among Successful Horsemen. - Krnton Farm Stables Biggest "Winner — General Haldemaa and Babbling Over Leaders Among Horses. The Kentucky Associations Centennial celebration at the historic L«exinsrton course resulted in one of the most successful meet- , ings ever held at that track. The racing began April 24 and ended May 5. a period of; f ten days, durmg which time 3,313. a daily J average of ,331, was distributed in stakes and purses. The Kenton Farm Stable was the largest t J winner among the owners taking part in the racing, accounting for 2,161. The Idle Hour . Stock Farm. H. P. Gardner, H. P. Whitney and J. C Milam stables also figured importantly. - The crack two-year-old General Haldeman I I won the most money of the horses participating and proved to be the best of the juveniles shown at the meeting. Bubbling r Over gained many new admirers for the I Derby by his two impressive victories at Lexington, particularly in the Blue Grass Stakes, in which he displayed remarkable , speed and lowered the mile and an eighth 1 track record without being extended. E. I.egere was the riding star of the meeting - with thirteen victories to his credit, while I C. Van Dusen was the most successful of f the trainers, saddling eight winners.
