LEXINGTON, Ky., May C. -Following a meeting of the board of directors of the Tri-State Fair and Racing Association today, announcement was made that William Dondas has been engaged to be racing secretary and that the State Racing Commission will be asked to approve the following other officials for the .luly meeting of fifteen days, opening on the fifth. Brownell Berryman, Joseph .1. Graddy and X. H. McClelland, stewards and judges. William Hamilton, starter. X. H. McClelland, clerk of the scales. William 1hillips. patrol judge. Dr. Cornelius Cann. paddock judge. S. K. Hughes, timer. James M. Forsythe, track superintendent. Stakes for the meeting are announced to close on June Bt, and are as follows: Raceland Derby, ,000, one mile and a quarter, to be run Saturday, July 17. Ashland Handicap, ,000, three-year-olds and over, seven-eighths mile, to be run on the opening day, July 5. Ronton Stakes. ,000. for two-year-olds, five and a half furlongs, to be run Saturday, July 10. Xo entrance fee and no starting fee will be required for these events. «
