CHURCHILL TURF NOTES | IvOlISYlRLE, Ky.. May 7. Will Perkins made an addition to his stable this morning when be purchased from Dr. C. N. Finch through Joe Umensetter, Golden Orient, a two-year-old colt, by Golden Maxim — Yip Yap. on private terms. Jack Weaver reported his mare Annie Cilmore had foaled a brown filly by Busy American at J. B. Respess Highland Stock Farm in Kenton county. Track superintendent Tom Young stated that never before in the history of racing in Louisville had there been such a demand for stabling accommodations. Fvery available stall at both Churchill Downs and Douglas Park has been taken. More than thirteen hundred horses are at both tracks. The stables of Dr. L. M. Holmes and Howard Oots had to be held at Lexington until after the Williams Brothers dispersal sale at 1 »ouglas Park. Jockey R. Harrington, who was suspended at the Fair Grounds meeting for rough riding was notified by judges J. A. Murphy and J. T. Ireland that be had been restored to gui.d standing. Ten carloads of bonea arrived from Lox-Injt— Thursday night. The shipments included among others the stables of R. C. Crakes, additions of the Idle Hour Farm, J. X. Camden. J. H. Goode and H. P. Headley. Jockey J. Dillea. under contract to A. B. Hancock, who was confined to a Lexington Hospital, arrivd h re Friday and will begin riding at once. . . Wright, owner of a stable being trained by C. R. Anderson, arrived from bis home in Mcl.eanshoro. III., and will remain until after the Derby. Jockey W. Bnnmnowskl has l een granted Sl license and will rMt free lance. Louis B. Braun. whose stable is being trained by Mose Shapoff. was an arrival from his home in Baltimore. Jockey J. McCoy has signed a contract to ride for W. K. Hupp of Iexington. whose horses are being trained by R. C. Frakes. Arrivals from Lexington continue, and a special train arrived this afternoon. In this consignment were J. C. Milams extensive string. Roy Carruthers, prominent hotel man of Detroit, will be an arrival for the pre-Derby racing. John Hertz. Chicago taxi magnate, will bring a party of twelve to witness several days racing before the running of the Derby.
