CANDIDATES FOR PREAKNESS « Bagenbaggage Arrives at Pimlico From Kentucky. ♦ New York Representatives Also lteaeh Hill Top Course — Dress Parade and Other Kligiblos in Final Trials. ♦ BABTIMORK. Md., May 7— The arrival at Pimlico this morning of several intended starters in the 0,000 Preakness Stakes to be run next Monday added to the interest already manifested in the Maryland Jockey Clubs most popular and richest racing fixture. Among the horses to reach here today was the Idle Hour Farms representative Bagen-baggage. the good Bradley colt that won the Ix uisiana Derby at the Fair Grounds. He came here in care of trainer W. Hurley and jockey Blind, who will ride the colt in the Preakness, accompanied the shipment. Bag-enbaggage made the trip from Kentucky without a mishap and appears to be in fine condition. Good critics, who have seen this colt in action, say he has an execellent chance of carrying off the rich prize. S. C. Hildreths Preakness candidate, Xichavo, got in from Belmont Park, it is understood that Fator will be here to ride the colt and if he runs a creditable race in the Preakness the colt will be loaded on the cars Monday night and shipped to Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. Clyde Phillips is bringing three of the Greentree racers from Xew York. Navigator, Hell Cat and Lady Be Good. James Rowe is sending over Blondin and Color Sergeant, both of which will be starters in the Preakness. Samuel D. Riddle was out at Pimlico early this morning to see Disss Parade get his final work for the Preakness. With Albert Johnson in the saddle the Son of Man o War went a mile and a quarter in 2:12. A number of other Preakness and Derby eligibles were out. Their trials were: Tim-mara, mile and quarter, 2:11*;: By Hisself and Mars, mile and a eighth. 1 :56V. : Rock Star, mile. I :4t% : Corvette. 1 :50 ; Taps. 1 :50 ; Crusader, 1:47: Gavotte, half in :54 and Marche Militaire. three-eighths in :35%.
