W R COE AT HINATA FARM Pompeys Owner Visits Breeding BreedingFarm Farm on His Way to See SeeRunning Running of Derby LEXINGTON Ivy May 13 W R One breeder and owner of Pompey one of tho outstanding favorites for the Derby arrived here this morning from New York with a party of friends in a private car and they are spending the day seeing the thoroughv breds belonging to Mr Coe and quartered at Hinata Farm under the supervision oC Col Phil T Chinn Mr Coe also inspected the former Glen Helen Stud Farm and ad ¬ joining land which Colonel Chinn recently bought for him and to which his breeding stock will be removed from Hinata when certain improvements are completed Mr Coe and party Avcnt to Louisville tonight to remain until Saturday when they will stop here again before making the after Derby trip back to New York It goes without say ¬ ing that Mr Coe expects Pompey to give a good account of himself in the Derby if he does not win winJ J H Walker one of the owners of tho Log Cabin Stable with a party of friends in a private car spent this morning at tho Greenwich Stud Farm where the Log Cabin Stable has the stallion Ladkin several marus and a number of foals Dr John Feeland and Messrs Harold Weeks Charles Arch in doss and Arthur Jones are Mr Walkers guests all being from New York Mr Walkor was delighted with appearances of the stock at Greenwich Stud and so expressed himself to Mr Kd Kane the manager of the estab ¬ lishment Mr Walker and his party had luncheon today with Joseph 13 Widener at Klmendorf Farm and tonight they went over to Louisville LouisvilleE E F Simms is at his Xalapa farm in Hour bon County and was host tonight to a number of friends from New York and other points who have come to attend the Derby at Churchill Downs on Saturday SaturdayAdolphe Adolphe Pons former secretary to the late Maj August Belmont is an arrival from New York for the Derby and will be at Greenwich Stud until Saturday morning morningWalter Walter J Salmon and party of friends will come here from Louisville after the Derby to inspect the horses at Mereworth Stud where Display winner of the Preakness vaa raised raisedWayne Wayne Dinsmore secretary of the Horse Association of America was an arrival this morning from Chicago He put in today visiting some of the farms Tomorrow he will attend Senator Johnson N Camdens sale oC hereford cattle and Saturday sec the Derby DerbyHarry Harry Payne Whitney was expected to visit his farm here tomorrow but a wire wa received today stating that the party will not come to Kentucky at this time
