THRIVING JOCKEY FAMILY Some Interesting Data Concern ¬ ing W Garner and His Famous Relatives All Riders COLLINSVILLR III June 7 Jockey Willie Garner who rode Forest Nymph in the Illinois Stakes was first christened AVilliam Garner Rinehart his mother bfcing Betty Garner the eldest of a family of seven children all of the others being boys and all of whom are now or have been race riders of more than passing note Wayne and Sheets too heavy to ride are now employed in clerical positions at Fairmbunt Park Guy is in France Mack is one of the leadinff riders at Latonia and Harry is riding at Aurora Lam5 ert is another of the Garner boys who has grown too heavy to ride Upon Willie Rinehart becoming apprenticed as a jockey he assumed the name of his mother and is known as a member of the famous Garner family of race riders Dode Garner the father of the family was himself a famous race rider as was his father before him The Earner family are Mis sourians all of the children having been born in the little Missouri city of Princeton
