LATONIA TURF NOTES j DATONIA, Ky., June 23. Trainer J. Schuster, of the S. N. Holman Stable, reported that the four-year-old Py-root had been fired and sent to Pals Meadows Farm, to be turned out. Tom Sanford arrived from Aurora with his stable which composes Despard, 1. Bush and Pure Dee. The Bloomfield Stable in charge of B. B. Williams will be ship| ed to Windsor in a few days. K. C. Anthony will send his stable to the same track. Starter Hamiltons schooling list has been increased by the addition of Miss ChiniĀ«|uy. Basilette, I.ady Von, Barluna, Colden Dynn and Rosa Creener. Jockey 10. Scobie failed to keep his engagements today, sending word to officiate that he was ill. This was confirmed by the track physician, who ws:s sent to Sce bies home by the stewards. The stewards today cpiestioned Jockey Willie Pool reganling his ride on Lord Cranite yesterd .v. Nothing irregular was uncovred, and the rider accepted mounts this afternoon. Kdward P.. McLean, well known Washington and Cincinnati publisher, accompanied by his friends C. C. Cummings and Webb Carter, arrived fr.sm Washington in time to witness todays spetrt. Mr. McLean and party will remain for the remainder of the week. I. B. Leater of Louisville, who raced a stable of horses in Kentucky several years back, returned for a glimpse of his favorite sport this afternoon.
