ROCK SIGAR improved his position steadily in the last half mile and. finishing fast, outgamed the tiring EGGNOG. The latter shwoed the most speed, but tired in the final drive. LIKCTENANT FARREI.L also tired when put to a drive. DOLLY DUNBAR was badly ridden by being taken wide on all the turns. The latter fin ished fast aud was slowly wearing the winner down. FKRRASH raced into a long lead, but tired badly in th« last quarter. SCRAPS finished fast next to the inner rail. MAID OF ORLEANS, prominent from the start, came on the outside and finished gamely. ENCAMP set the early pace, but tired in the stretch drive. MATADOR was under restraint for most of the race.
