LONG POINT, helped by the going, showed much speed from the start and, passing the leaders after entering the stretch, was slowly drawing away in the final drive. TEN SIXTY, away fast, was much used in racing MACBETH into defeat and tired after taking the lead. Til I.IK improved her position steadily and finished fast. THE SEEK came with a belated rush through the stretch. FORGET ME NOT set the early pace and tired. MACBETH ran well and was in the deepest going all the way. POLLY SCOTT closed up some ground. GKENIKR made a challenge in the stretch, but tired ami swered in the final eighth. FATAL DART ran well. PRICKLY HEAT began slowly and could never get up. The latter came resolutely through the stretch and finished fast. VIE passed GAFFNEY into the lead in the early running and raced well to the end. FIRE ROCK closed up some ground. GAFFNEY quit.
