COLORED SERVANT, hard ridden from the start, took the lead quickly, saved ground on the turns and. racing gamely through the final drive, withstood the challenge of REPROVE. The latter nn e-d in nearest pursuit of the winner and made a fast and game finish FIRE FAIRY raced gamely, but could never improve her position and was tiring at the end. TITTER raced forw;irdly and had M mishaps. SHORTY was fore-ed to race wide after being away slowly. SAM SI.1CK was crowded w I. en LUCIE ANN reared up into the air with the release of the barrier. ALL Bl.l E began fast and clear, but dropped back after e-ove-ring the first sixtenth. then worked his way up on the outside and finishe-d namely. BlCEPIIAI.lS could never improve his position. Start good and slow. Won easily: second and third driving. LONG JOE was knocked off his stride when MADLYN bumped into him at the start, but recovered gamely and made up ground rapidly on the outside of the leaders, then took the lead while rounding the last turn and won easing up. DEXTBR finished resolutely along the inner rail, hut could not reach the winner. JOHN W. WEBER raced MAO GALANT into defeat, but tired in the last half mile. MEDIUK ran a good race. MADLYN was hard ridden throughout. TIPPERARY MARY was going fast when she stumbled and fell on the far turn. The rider on EDA C. leaped from his mount to avoid striking the prostrate horse. Won driving: second and third the same. KENTUCKY II. took the lo:id quickly and won all the way, but began to loaf in the final sixteenth and had to Ite hard ridden to out finish GCERDON. The latter raced forwardly from the start and was fast overtaking the winner at the end. CANDY PIG forced a fast early pace and made several challenges, but tired in the last quarter. The latter raced closer up than usual and in close pursuit of the winner throughout. DEVONSHIRE was saved for the first three-quarters, then came with a rush from the head of the stretch, but tired right at the end. REJUVENATION raced creditably. KING SOLOMONS SEAL ran poorly. COCKNEY was saved close up for three-quarters, then raced through a narrow opening next to the inner rail midway of the back stretch and sprinted into a long lead, but had to be bard ridden through the stretch and was under a hard hand ride to outstay DANCING FOOL. The latter was saved well back for the first seven -eighths, then saved much ground when entering the home stretch and was rapidly overtaking the winner. COMET, close up from the start, was hard ridden for the last half mile, but was outfinished. FLAGSHIP raced fairly well. DERONDA quit after going five-eighths. WHEATSTICK was always outrun. BETSY BACON raced forwardly and gam* ly to the end. THE ALLY raced wide on all the turns and was eased up when he tired in the hist quarter. JlEEN NAVARKK quit. HARLAN raced poorly. WOOLWORTH quit after showing the most early speed and leading to the stretch.
