I j OLD-TIMERS RACE FRIDAY BALTIMORE, Md., May 5— Dr. William Hopkins, brother of Freddy Hopkins, one of James Rowe*s assistant trainers and a successful rider himself a few years back, will be seen in the saddle in the Old-Timers race, which will be run at Pimlico Friday morning at 11 oclock. Hopkins will have the mount on the Kentucky Derby winner Paul Jones which has been used as a saddle pony by William Garth the past two years. The field in this event will number nine or ten, and all of the riders will be presented with a handsome souvenir by the Maryland Jockey Club. The rider of the winner will have his choice of these souvenirs, and a split second gold watch will be given to the owner of the winning horse. »
