DEADFALL forced the pare, came to the outside of the leader when entering the home stretch and, after a short struggle, drew away. NEBO raced well to the far turn, closing up stoutly and got up to catch the tiring MAY BKIEN at the end. The latter made all the early pace, but weakened when the real test came. FOLLOW ME, well up throughout, had no ex.uses. LEONARD G. wheeled when the break came, then closed an immense gap. Scratched— 1282:! The latter was taken to the extreme outside on the stretch, but made a fast finish. TIPPITY WITCHET attempted to come through on the inside and was forced to be taken up, then finished fastest of all. TIMELESS was much used in chasing MAHATMA and tired.
