CANDY MAY BADLY INJURED PIMLICO. Md.. May :. — H. T. Archibalds Candy May came out of the running of the Rennert Handicap here yesterday with a bad cut over the tendon of her right foreleg. She suffered the mishap coming into the stretch. She was running easily when the stirrup buckle slipped. As jockey Emery reached to make the adjustment another horse jumped on Candy May. She will be on the shelf for a considerable time but it is hoped that her retirement will not be permanent.
