CLOSE DEAL FOR L. HARDY HOMEVOOD, 111.. June 22. After Jockey L. Hardy had piloted Samaron to victory in the fifth race Tuesday, G. L. "Waggoner of the Three Ds Stable, who was at tho track, sought out L. C. Everitt and consummated a deal for the contract on jockey L. Hardys services for a reported handsome consideration. Originally tho Three Ds Stable and C. E. Durncll had second call on the riders services, P. T. Chinn having first call. There was a stipulation in the arrangement that in the event Mr. Everitt, who held the contract, had an opportunity to sell it, the calls held by Messrs. Chinn and Durncll were not to be a bar.
