Won. easily; second and third driving. GREY LAG followed the early leaders close up .under restraint .and, taking .the lead when called on, won in a. canter; but pulled up very lame. OUR GENERAL was outrun to the stretch turn, where he.saved ground, but was n close quarters when passing the eighth post and was forced to come to the outside, then finished fast. JOHN J. WILLIAMS set a fast pace "from"-soon after the start and finished the last quarter mile with a slipped saddle. GOLDEN YOLT was close up all the way and had no mishaps. GOLD STAR tired. Won driving; second and third the same. HAPPY ARGO set a fast pace from the start and, after being headed by SANDY, responded to hard riding in the stretch and, passing CRYSTAL DOMINO, outfinished DEVONSHIRE gamely. The latter began slowly, but worked his way up on the inside; overcame interference and finished with a rush when clear. CRYSTAL DOMINO sliowed fine speed from the start, but tired in the final sixteenth. MILLWICK finished fast on the outside. CLOUDLAND ran a good face". Won driving; second and third the same. WAYFAIR set the pace from the start and, after being headed, came on the outside of the leader in the stretch drive and outgamcd PORTO BELLO GOLD at the end. The latter raced Into the lead and saved ground where possible, but tired right at the end. IRISH MARINE worked his way up gamely on the outside and came wide when entering the stretch, but finished fastest of all. HIJO saved ground when entering the stretch and ran a good race.
