f FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES $, . : : - COLLINSVILLE, III., June 22. Jockey Geving resumed riding today, having served his five day suspension for rough riding. L. Hale, who suffered two fractured ribs and other injuries in a fall last week, was able to leave the hospital today, but will be out of the saddle for a month. Princess Doreen will have formidable opposition in the ,000 Statler Hotel Handicap, to be run here Saturday. It developed this morning with the arrival from Latonia of Hal Price Headleys Helens Babe and S. A. Cowans Cotlogomor. Cudgeller and Bulletin are others expected to run in the mile and a sixteenth fixture. Joseph A. Murphy announced today that C. C. Riley, well-known editor of Daily Racing Form, would, as in previous years, be associate handicapper at Hawthorne. Mr. Riley was sporting editor of the Inter-Ocean of Chicago when Judge Murphy was on tho Tribune, and the friendship made then has grown with the years. Thursday will be Madison Day and the chief race on the card has been named in honor of the little city of that name. Tho disabled veterans from tho U. S. Veterans Hospital at Jefferson Park Barracks, will be the guests of tho Fairmount Jockey Club, Monday, Juno 27. Weather conditions compelled the postponement of tho entertainment from June 14, and it Is hoped that Mondays weather will be such that all of the disabled veterans will be ablo to mako the trip from the hospital and enjoy an afternoon o exciting recreation.
