McGINNIS GATE IN JAPAN MONTREAL, Que., June 22. Phil McGin-nis, whoso starting gate is used by most of the prominent starters in the United States and Canada, is the recipient of a letter from Mr. Isaacs, president of the Tokio Jockey Club, of Yokohama, complimenting him on the excellent work of hi3 starting gate in Japan. Lost fall McGinnis shipped six of his starting gates to Yokohama and they were used for the first time at the meeting of the Tokio Jockey Club this spring. Mr. Isaacs spoke of the prompt and splendid starts obtained with the adoption of the McGinnis gate and has recommended their use at every meeting in Japan.
