Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. OLYMPIC, racing in suddenly improved form, gained steadily after reaching the stretch and, finishing with a rush, headed WATTS in the last few strides. WATTS also closed a big gap and appeared to have the race won when a sixteenth out, but was unable to withstand the winners rush. KINSLEY raced into the lead, but tired in the last eighth. OMNIA set a good pace, but quit badly in the last eighth. HULLO was done after going a half mile. BIUD BEI1AVK was away badly, but raced poorly. BASIIA had no mishaps. Won easily; second and third driving. AROMATIC close up from the start, came fast through the last eighth and, passing nONEY-NOOK, won going away. nONEYNOOK raced into a good lead at once, but tired badly after seemingly having the race won. TRUE GAL was shuffled back soon after the start and finished fast when ridden hard in the stretch. SUN SABEUR was far back for three-eighths and came fast in the stretch. LITTLE BROOM began tiring after going a half mile. BLUE ROSE and BESOM were done after the first quarter. The latter began with an advantage, but dropped back and raced wide on the turns, then came fast in the last eighth. JOE JUNIOR raced prominently for the entire race. IRON MASK II. was saved under restraint and taken back repeatedly in the first three-quarters, then raced into the lead with a rush when reaching the stretch and held BOB JtOGERS safe through the final eighth. BOB ROGERS moved up fast when reaching the stretch turn, but tired after getting to the leader. SIXTY ran a good race and stayed fairly well in the final drive. NAT EVENS was close up from the start and. passing KUM KALESSI when reaching the stretch turn, his rider waving his whip in front of KYROCK when the latter was coming fast, probably kept KYROCK from passing him. KYROCK raced close up, but lost ground on the stretch turn and finished well. KUM KALESSI showed the most early speed and came again after seeming badly beaten.
