« fTEXINGTON TURF NOTEST? A — -•" LEXINGTON, Ky., April 20. A. Pelleteri has taken over the horses Beau Aspin. Emphatic and Aspin Lake, owned by F. A. Upsher Smith : Melicc, the property of Sam Jones, and Counsellor Connelly, which races in his own colors. Aspin Lake is a two-year-old bay son of Aspin-wall— Lady of the Lake. W. P.uford. who formerly trained the former horses, has the Paradise Stock Farms Reflector, Lansquenet and Light Plume : H. P. Pennys Fana Omarack and Chief Delight, and a two-year-old, owned by J. W. Stoll in training here. W. R. Herring has taken charge of his two-year-old Hiram Kelly, which he has under preparation for racing here. The annual spring meeting of the Kentucky State Ptacing Commission will be held at the local offices of that body at 10 :30 oclock tomorrow morning. Perhaps the most important business to be considered by the commission will be the reviewing of the report of the license committee and final action upon all applications for licenses for the year now in the hands oZ the commission. The horses J. McPherson brought over from Louisville are Genial Host, Fire On, Golden Tinted and Pandemonium, a two-year-old chestnut gelding by Pandion — "Margaret A., owned by D. T. Matlack and Corposant, which races for McPherson. honors for having the largest stable at the local track go to A. "Jack" Baker, who has thirty-five racers under his care. The horses are the property of It. C. Clark. A: B. Hancock. R. A. Fairbairn and Mr. Baker. The next largest is that of Tom Hayes, which embraces thirty horses, owned by Haves, S. B. Mason. R. A. and P. L. Baker, W. S. Dudley, D. D. Canfield and M. H. Read. Among the sportsmen having horses among the twenty-eight which R. C. Frakes lias here are N. H. Johnson, E. Rucker, R. W. Collins, E. O. Drake, T. Smith, E. G. and W. Smith. M. E. Johnston, Charlton Clay, W. E. Hupp. G. and W. Hickey, J. L. Car-rick, O. H. Return, E. Daingerfield, A. C. Van Winkel, Gorham Brothers, E. A. Caslick, T. J. and G. EL Clay and Marvin May. Al Hamel has sent the filly Guapa to Howard Wells farm, where she will be turned out until midsummer.
