1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES t $ ■ — — — ■ -♦ LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 2. The stable of V. S. Heaton was shipped to Arlington Park Friday night. Fifteen of the J. J. Coughlin horses, including candidates for several of the Latonia stakes, will be shipped to the Covington track tomorrow. Others of the stable are intended for Arlington Park racing. The plater Fretwell came out of the last race Thursday in an ailing condition and will be fired and turned out. G. R. Bryson, Baltimore horseman, came over from St. Louis to attend the meeting of the Thoroughbred Horse Association. A number of horsemen and enthusiasts left here for St. Louis for the purpose of witnessing Saturdays renewal of the Fairmount Derby. The executive building at Latonia will be open Sunday to accept registrations of stables, owners, trainers and jockeys. Entries for the Gibson Hotel Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, to be run at three-quarters, and the secondary feature of La-tonios opening program, were closed here and at Latonia this morning. R. P. Brooks this morning shipped his stable to Latonia. Jockey H. Gray will join the establishment at that track Sunday. In the absence of E. Ambrose, jockeys T. Maguire and E. Coates did the afternoon riding for the E. B. McLean stable. Ambrose, as well as Abel, E. Pool and Garner, were at Fairmount Park to ride in the Fairmount Derby. John Troxler has decided to campaign his small stable through the Latonia meeting and will shin his racers to that course tomorrow. L. Gentry will take nine horses to Fair-mount Tark tonight. Jockey K. Horvath will go along to do the riding. The stables of T. E. Mueller and J. McGee will entrain for Arlington Tark Sunday. Jockey "W. Curran goes with . the stable of the latter. "Ruby" White, one of starter Hamiltons assistants, had his left shoulder dislocated when Honest struck him with his head at the barrier in the first race. * — : — *
