Phil Renter retaliated by taking Pheasant from M. Eckman out of the same race for ,000. At the conclusion of the Fairmount Park racing B. B. Rice will transfer his capable stable of thoroughbreds to Chicago and intends racing Southern Kiss, Polygamia, Silent Jack, Mystery Ballot, Oceanid and probably others at the Lincoln Fields meeting. The fifth and final edition of the Fairmount Park racing program books were issued to the horsemen here today. The last issue of the condition books covers the period extending from Monday, July 2, to Saturday, July 7. The public stable of horses which are being trained by H. Cavanagh will likely be taken to the Raceland meeting as their next campaigning point. Cavanagh will send Altura, Gaineswood, Hilda Hannibal, Zurich, Donna Stella, Laurel Hall and others to the Ashland, Ky., track. Jot key F. Silas, who had a bad fall with the horse Up and Down nearing the finish of the final race on Thursday afternoon, luckily escaped serious injury, suffering a slightly sprained ankle. Copies of the corrected and revised book of conditions covering the first eight days of racing at the Raceland meeting, which commences July 4, were received here and given out to the horsemen interested by Brownell Berryman. J. G. Brown, owner of Jean Bond, claimed The Orleanian from L. Gentry for ,500 out of the seventh race. *
