At the conclusion of the present meeting trainer Cecil Howard will take the Four Oaks Stock Farm Stable to Canada for an extended campaign on the Dominion tracks. Jockey Willie Garner was taken very ill after reaching the jockeys quarters and had to cancel his engagements, and the illness of Willie Crumps wife also forced that veteran rider out of the saddle during the afternoon. A car of the horses of R. S. Clark will be shipped to Lincoln Fields tonight. The shipment includes the Crete Handicap elig-ibles, Wisdom and Dinner Dance, and Current, the stables intended starter for the Joliet Stakes, to be run next Wednesday. On Sunday night jockey Earl Pool will leave for Chicago to ride the Clark starters in the two stakes. Wednesday night he will return here, an-1 on the closing day of the meeting will guide Pink Lily in the Latonia Oaks renewal. H. Saladin was in charge of the division of the Clark Stable that entrained tonight. Outstanding among todays workouts of intended starters in Saturdays renewal of the Harold Stakes were the gallops of R, L Pakcrs Judge Murphy and F. P. Letelliers Woolorac. Judge Murphy ran five-eighths in 1 :02%, while Woolorac was timed in :50% for a half mile. ■ - The three horses of Mrs. E. E. Gaar this morning were loaded for shipment to Race-land. L.. V. Cellew has arranged to transfer the horses of J. C. Ellis to the same track Sunday. J. J. Flanigan will ship the horses he is training for Polk Laffoon and other owners to Lincoln Fields next Monday. Through his victory on Thursday the Aud-ley Farms Governor Pratt was ineligible for the opening race today. In the absence of William H. Shellev, who departed Thursday night for Lincoln Fields, L. Eogenchutz will serve as one of the placing judges for the remainder of the meeting.
