CLEARANCE STAR OF SALE Gelded Son of Sweeper — Playcany Brings ,000 at Aqueduct Paddock Sale. NEW YORK, N. Y., June 29.— The Fasig-Tipton Company held a sale of horses in training in the paddock before the running of the first race. Thirty-one head were disposed for a total of 2,875, or an average of ,3S3. The highest price realized from the vendue was for Clearance, from the Edward Arlington consignment. This fellow was disposed of for ,000 and went to Kimball Patterson, acting for Broze Hover. Scat, from the same consignment, also brought a good price when he went for ,700, with W. J. Norton the purchaser. Several of the offerings from the Arlington consignment were bid in, as was Floral King, offered by E. S. Luther, and knocked down to John Zoeller.
