MIKE HALL TRAINING WELL LATONIA, Ky., June 8. — R. M. Eastmans Mike Hall, which Walter Taylor is preparing for a return to competition during the September meeting at Lincoln Fields, is taking training very satisfactorily; in fact, Taylor declares that the gelding has never done better. Mike Halls Lincoln Fields racing will be of high importance, as his showings there will decide whether he will be sent to England to participate in the October renewal of the Cesarewitch Stakes at Newmarket. If Mike Hall is returned to his previous good form he wrill go to England in charge of H. P. Headley, who anticipates shipping him only two weeks before the running of the Cesarewitch, which would give him a week at Newmarket before the running of the race, at two miles and a quarter. Headley and Taylor calculate that the change of climatic conditions probably would not be as severe for the gelding during that short time as they would if he reached England a greater time before the running of the stake. Mr. Headley was a visitor from his home at Lexington for the day.
