! CONNAUGHT TURF NOTES f $ 4 OTTAWA, Ont., June 8. The stewards at Ottawa posted notice in the secretarys office notifying owners and trainers that in future permission to change equipment must be made before 2 p. m., on the day in which their horses are carded as starters. E. P. Sanfords good plater Choir Boy came out of his race on Wednesday with a badly wrenched shoulder, which will more than likely keep him out of competition for the greater part of the present racing season. Jockey Hastie, who hadthe mount, is of the opinion that the mishap occurred when hi* mount swerved wrhen the break came at the barrier. Conditions books for the first summer meeting to be held at the Hamilton Jockey Club were distributed among the horsemen at Connaught Park by Paul Ciceri. Edward Baker, sporting editor of the Ottawa Citizen, has been assigned the duty of placing judge at Ottawa along with E. St. Pierre, L. N. Bate and V. J. Morrison. The Justa Farm arrived in the consignment that came from Toronto and it ia the first appearance of this establishment in this section* W. G. Merion ia in charge of the outfit.
