[WASHINGTON PARK NOTES! $ $ HOMEWOOD, 111., June 8. John B. McKee, Naishapurs trainer, received a telegram from Dr. Harthill of Louisville that Naishapurs stablemate, Jim Dandy, is recovering from illness which seized him soon after Chaffee Earl paid Colonel Dudley 5,000 for him. The report to McKee is that the temperature of Jim Dandy is nearly normal. E. R. Bradleys Blue Larkspur is to be assigned special quarters in Washington Parks barn for Derby stars, according to Tom Young, track superintendent. "He is a relative of Domino," said Young, "and, anyway, he is a dangerous factor in the American Derby." Jockey C. Meyer is no longer with the Stuyvesant Peabody stable. His connection was severed Friday. W. W. Darden has advised secretary Joe McLennan that he would ship Lady Broadcast here from Fairmount to start in the Oaks. John F. Schorr, trainer of the extensive E. B. McLean stable, advised secretary McLennan this morning that he would ship Silverdale here to start in the American Derby on the condition that the colt made a good showing in todays race at Latonia. He also stated that Toro would be here in time to fill his engagement in the Frances Peabody Memorial. R. McDermott is among the recent comers and will ride for the E. Cebrian stable. W. R. Coe has notified secretary McLennan that he intends shipping here the colts Igloo and Dail, to be starters in the American Derby. The colts were worked over the Belmont course today and will probably be shipped next Monday. Earl Sandes colors will be seen on a local track for the first time Monday when his Safety Pin goes to the post in the fifth race. Earl Sande has named in the Illinois Oaks Safety Pin and Nearby. Safety Pin is the one he will ride in this feature, which will be decided Saturday, June 22. The pair is eligible to go Saturday, June 29, in the Francis S. Peabody Memorial, which race, like the Oaks, carries added value of 0,000. The distance is a mile and a quarter, three-year-olds and upward competing. Stuyvesant Peabody, son of Francis Peabody, will present a trophy to the winning owner. Track superintendent Tom Young said that the next arrival of racers from New York would be those of W. Sharpe Kilmer, in change of Andrew Blakely. Naishapur made another move for his Derby engagement. Fractional time : :24, :49%, 1:14%, 1:41, under restraint throughout. He pulled up in 1 :3G%. | Young is having another barn built for the accommodation of Derby horses and other racers belonging to the owners of Derby eligibles. This barn is located near Halsted Street. It will have twenty-eight stalls. The original Derby barn has forty stalls, also tack rooms and quarters for men who guard the Derby horses. John J. Coughlins Karl Eitel was sent three-eighths in :43. It was an easy trial. The First Ward aldermans horse seems fit,
