BUYS JOCKEYS CONTRACT- SAX FRANCISCO. Calif.. April 9. Marvin Allen, southern California turfman and breeder, has purchased the contract on apprentice jockey O. Neal. The iad, who has never ridden a winner on a recognized track, comes from a turf family. Two brothers. E. Neal and D. Neal, are now riding at Tan- ! foran, while his father R. E. Neal is a well known horseman. Francis Walter, who races a small string at Tanforan, has bought the contract on jockey S. Wood from L. Hector. The lad who is a young brother of jockey Joe Wood, can ride at ninety-five pounds and is a likely prospect.
