PAYS 10000 FOR FILLY John S Ward Buys Thistle Ann Annfor for Everglade Stable Eligible for Oaks LEXINGTON Ky May 5 John S Tony Wallace one of the most prominent racing officials in America Saturday sold the good threeyearold filly Patricia Ann to John S Ward trainer of the Everglade Stable for 10000 according to a report given out by Mr Ward today Patricia Ann is a daughter of Whiskaway Vision and displayed fine speed in winning two races out of three starts at the Kentucky Association meeting here She raced the futurity course in 109 the fastest time of the meeting in winning her first race and then came back to lead the others in the Ashland Oaks race for threequarters of a mile before succumbing to Thistle Ann the winner Patricia Ann won her last start at the meeting defeating Honey Locust Night Signal Silver Cord Chariot and others in fast time Mr Wal ¬ lace considers her an excellent prospect for the Kentucky and Lalonia Oaks Mr Ward transferred the filly to Louisville this morn ¬ ing
