UNLUCKY HAS CLOSE CALL Just Does Stick It Out to Win WinFrom From Kentucky Colonel Guy Frazier Scores COLUMBUS Ohio May 5 Mrs D Bauers Unlucky made it two out of three in his racing here and again rewarded a host of supporters by winning the fourth race today at Beulah Park He just did stick out the threequarters of a mile as he was rapidly tiring when the finish was reached In a few yards more the decision would have gone to W W Loneys Kentucky Colonel which was coming up fast on the outside Breakaway was third after showing much early speed Photograph was not well ridden and is capa ¬ ble of a better race than she showed showedGuy Guy Frazier the popular choice finally graduated from the maiden ranks when he annexed the initial dash from a mediocre band in most convincing style After dis ¬ posing of Bounding Rock in the first quarter he drew away into a commanding lead Bounding Rock always held the others safe safeForluck Forluck and Hailstorm raced closely lapped during the early stages of the second race Once he hit his stride fully Hailstorm drew away into an easy lead which he never relinquished Coining from behind in the stretch Blazoner was a handy second over Deviner Forluck stopped badly Previous to the running of this race a smart shower swept over the course but it only served to lay the dust nicely nicelyHis His fortune in securing an opening next the inner rail at the first turn enabled Big Bill Thompson to take the lead in the third and he increased his advantage as the race progressed Skipaway retained a safe margin over the remainder in the stretch After being carried a trifle wide by Buchon at the first turn A P Canale was up in time to be third
