activity was noted along the Kentucky Derby front during the past thirtysix hours and when dusk settled tonight over Churchill Downs home of the great race due for its fiftysixth annual running on Saturday all but one of the probable starters were on the battle ground During the mentioned period arrivals included the crack eastern quartet Gallant Fox Crack Brigade Gone Away and Ned 0 and Breezing Thru and Buckeye Poet the representatives of E R Bradley while announcements kept Uncle Luther and Busy in and added Lougus to the probable field while Tannery and Kilkerry figured in noteworthy trials trialsGallant Gallant Fox the sterling son of Sir Gallahad III which races for William Woodward of New York and pronounced favorite for the impending fixture Crack Brigade Dr T M Cassidys star which finished second to the former in the AVood Memorial and Preakness Stakes and G W Foremans Ned O and Win Zieglers Gone Away reached Churchill Downs shortly after noon today while Breezing Thru and Buckeye Poet made the short trip from their owners Idle Hour Farm near Lexington Sunday morning All unloaded in satisfac ¬ tory condition conditionLONGUS LONGUS A STARTER STARTERWord
