BROWN WISDOM WINS Jackson Park Handicap Falls to Reichert Brothers Star Thrilling Finishes Mark Sport at atWashington Washington Park Rolling RollingSea Sea Victorious in Third HOMEWOOD 111 June 4 Brown Wis ¬ dom defeated by a nose by Misstep in the Washington Park Handicap and unplaced in the Robert M Sweitzer Handicap in his only previous starts at Washington Park during the current meeting came into his own at that course today when he defeated a good band to carry off honors in the Jackson Park Handicap Running the distance in 112 under top weight of 125 pounds the success ¬ ful Reichert Brothers representative won by a length from J J Coughliris Karl Eitel and H P Headleys Pigeon Hole rank outsider in the field of eight was third a half length back and a head in advance of Silverdale the starter of E B McLean The race was the feature of one of the best midweek day programs of the current meet ¬ ing and the driving finish fit in with the many others of similar type to come out of the very attractive offering Racing condi ¬ tions were of the ideal variety and the pa ¬ tronage of large proportions proportionsAll All of the placed trio raced from behind a fast early pace which resulted disastrously for Supreme Sweet the strong second choice to the winner She essayed to race with Cayuga and Nusakan in a duel for the early lead and the effort required to keep pace with the latter pair during the first three eighths and head the others at the entrance of the stretch left her with nothing for the subsequent racing during which she as well as Nusakan and Cayuga tired rapidly When called upon Karl Eitel Brown Wis dom Pigeon Hole and Silverdale came through gamely and while Karl Eitel was the first to supplant Supreme Sweet in the lead the winner followed
