SLAVIN SUCCESS CONTINUES Bob Kay Wins for Stable Which Scored Twice Day Previ ¬ ous at Riverside KANSAS CITY Mo June 4 Ideal weath ¬ er conditions again prevailed at Riverside Park for todays racing It was Ladies Day and a large gathering of the fair sex took advantage of the managements invitation Seven good races was the offering with the sixth race called the Biaritz Purse being the feature attraction Eight went to the post in this which was over the one mile and an eighth route routeFinishing Finishing with a good burst of speed in the final eighth Bobby Duncan racing in the colors of E W Stivers easily accounted for the first race on the program which was over the Futurity course for allage maidens Lady Edjelo was the one to race to second place with J W Robinsons North ¬ ern Spy finishing third The winner was outrun for the first half mile but gradu ¬ ally improved his position on the stretch turn and wore down the early pacemakers and at the finish was going away Lady Edjelo finished gamely in the stretch to out ¬ last Northern Spy SpyA A driving finish resulted in the second which was for nonwinners at this meeting over the Riverside course E D Siavin fur ¬ nished the winner in Bob Kay which slipped through on the inside entering the stretch and got up in the final stride to earn a nose decision over Forbidden which had dom ¬ inated the early running runningForbidden Forbidden and The Runt set the early pace The Runt which appeared very lame going to the post jetired after going a half mile and it was at this stage that Bob Kay was moving up fast but Forbidden turned into the stretch a full three lengths in the lead and appeared all over the winner but Bob Kay was not to be denied and under a good ride by apprentice P Dyer got up in time to gain the verdict Nan McKinney came from far back in the final quarter quarterThis This marked the third winner in two days for the Siavin Stable they having won Tues ¬ day with Black Darling and Tis Seth
