T AURORA TURF NOTES — # AURORA, 111., May 12. Exposition Park officials are anxious to get in touch with relatives of "Tubby" Shee-han, horseman, who died at Aurora two years ago. Sheehan was a native of New York state and was formerly employed by Tom Healy. Jodhpur and Silver Sceptre, which recently arrived at Lincoln Fields from Bowie, will be vanned to Exposition Park for their races tomorrow. L. F. Contner, western trainer, was a visitor yesterday. He dropped off en route to New York, where he is going with a view to purchasing some horse for summer racing. Jockey H. J. Clements, who figured in a fall a few days ago, is still in a serious condition at an Aurora hospital. Jockey A. Francesco, who has been absent from the saddle for some time, made application for a license this morning. Jockey W. Day will become a full fledged rider on Friday. His apprentice allowance will expire on that day. R. J. Howell got in from California yesterday with four horses. The animals are Opiopio and Pnum Phen, the property of C. A. Hartwell; Midhour belonging to A. R. A. R. Freeman, and Desert Sun the property of R. F. Oakes. Desert Sun and Opiopo are both from Kitty Troxell. The animals are stabled at Washington Park. Deerfield and Shasta Orange, which formerly raced in the colors of J. I. Henry, have been transferred to R. B. Allen. Jockey W. Day was suspended for three days by the starter for disobedience at the post in the fifth race.
