CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES 5_ 3 LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 12. Five of the six Greentree Stable horses that accompanied that stables Derby candidates, Twenty Grand, Surf Board and Anchors Aweigh, were turned over to Eddie Haughton, in charge of the western division of the stable. They were the three-year-old Perchance and two-year-olds Pending, Curmudgeon, Live Offering and Pal. James Rowe, trainer of the crack Derby trio and eastern division of the stable, plans to send at least one and possibly two of the Greentree three-year-olds West from Aqueduct for the American Derby at Washington Park on Saturday, June 20. Richard S. Morris, part owner of the Derby candidate Spanish Play, arrived from Chicago today. Edward Haughton reported the arrival of a full-brother to Bill Morris at his Spring Lake Farm. The foal is a son of Theo. Cook and Les Invalides, and his dam goes to St. Germans, sire of Twenty Grand. Les Invalides, the dam of two stakes winners, was purchased out of the T. W. Murphy estate sale by her present owner last summer. P. J. ONeil was a late arrival from Lexington with Lureen, Alvin, Ranshaw and Carideo.
