QUEENSWAY, away well, was steadied behind SOLILOQUY until straightened out in the stretch and, taking the lead quickly, won with speed to spare. CUDGELDOE, slow to settle into her best stride, closed fast in the last quarter. FLORIA ZEL, forwardlv placed from the start, showed an impressive performance. PHYL CREST raced evenly throughout. DARK THORN, away slowly, came fast in the last quarter, but was unable to get up. ANNIE A., rushed into contention on the turn, had nothing left for the final drive. COUNTESS DURBAR showed good speed throughout. DESERVE showed a brief flash of early speed in the first quarter. RUNANWIN, away in a tangle, was never able to gain a clear passage. AYMOND was saved behind the leaders, but could not get up when called upon. REFINER moved up gamely on the far turn, but was not able to menace the leaders. MARIE GAIETY raced well. MR. GAIETY, slow to start, made up ground in the last quarter. KIRKLAND POST showed early speed. VARSITY was outrun. HAYLOFT tired after going half a mile. FAIR FOLLY, unruly at the post, was started on the main track and showed brie; speed, then tired. STAR was away slowly. GOLDEN PATCH raced well for five-eighths.
