STURDY improved his position steadily and, coming through on the inside entering the stretch, outlasted STRETCHER in the final stride. The latter came to the outside entering the stretch and finished gamely. POLYFON showed good speed and, racing DR. LOUIS HAMMAN into defeat, tired. CORNISH LAD finished well. MACEDON was shuffled back after the start. SUN BROOM tired following the early pacemaker. BOBBY FOLSOM raced evenly. Won driving; second and third easily. CLOCK TOWER raced into command at once, displayed the most speed under restraint, saved ground and outlasted RIDEAWAY in the final drive. The latter, under restraint until entering the stretch ~ made a rush when called upon and finished gamely. POLYDORUS, close up from the start, tired in the stretch BLENHEIM showed a good race. MOWRIS was outrun and not persevered with. DANOUR had no mishaps! At the time appointed for the race the horses were away to a false start and ran the course. The latter began slowly, worked his way up on the outside and fin ished fast. RECOMPENSE raced well and finished fast. MAI DEE showed a flash o "earl speed and tirrf "* at the end.
