DEATH TAKES MARK HARNED Well Known Turfman Passes Away at His Home in Louisville — Funeral Services Friday. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 13— Mark R. Harned, 67 years old and for many years identified with the sport as an owner, died this morning at his home here. Death followed an illness of four months. In partnership with a brother he raced a large stable in the West and at the winter tracks during the past few years and prior to that time had an interest in a number of horses raced by Lon Jones. He was president of the Louisville Clothing Company. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Martine Harned; four brothers, Asa, I. C. and J. L., all of St. Louis, and W. B. Harned of Walters, Okla., and three sisters, Mrs. Josie Forbes, Mrs. Ella Laymon and Miss Ann May Harned. The latter two are of Millwood, Ky. Funeral services have been arranged for 30:30 oclock Friday morning at the residence, 1268 Cherokee Road, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
