WHITNEYS ARE IN LEXINGTON Attending Camden, Cochran and Chinn Sales Before Going to the Derby. • LEXINGTON, Ky., May 13.— Mr. and Mrs. John Hay Whitney arrived here from New York. They will attend the Camden sale today, will be in Louisville Wednesday to see Twenty Grand and Equipoise work, and will come back to Lexington for the Chinn sale on Thursday and the Cochran sale on Friday and will attend the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. From Louisville they will return to New York, going on the private car Adios, in which Mrs. Payne Whitney, mother of the young man and mistress of the Green-tree Stable, will come to Kentucky on Friday. Mrs. Whitney will return to Lexington after the Derby to remain until the next week end at her Greentree Farm. Cornelius V. Whitney and a party of ten will leave New York Wednesday on the private car Wanderer and will arrive in Lexington Thursday morning to attend the Chinn sale. They will attend the Cochran sale Friday morning and will go to the Derby Saturday. After the Derby the guests will return to New York and Mr. and Mrs. Whitney will come to Lexington to remain several days. The two private cars, Adios for Mrs. Payne Whitney, and Wanderer for Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Whitney, will return to Lexington after delivering the guests back in New York. A. H. Cosden of New York, owner of Vito, which stands at Keeneland Stud, and several nice mares which are kept at Castleton, has arranged for the sales. R. S. Clark and Capt. J. Crawford arrived today from London to attend the sales. Capt. C. W. Foster, manager of W. Ziegler, Jr.s Burrland Farm, Middleburg, Md., is here for the sales.
