MENDELL showed speed for the going, held on well and, bumping DELIVERED in the final eighth, outfinished him. The latter, also quick to get going, moved up fast after going wide in the stretch, ssffsred only slightlv in the bumping and tired in the final strides. GLYNHURST saved much ground and closed gamely. TRUE PLAY began fast, but dropped out of it and closed ground in the stretch. PRINCE BABE had no mishaps. OLD JEFFERSON began fast, raced very wide on the turn and swerved in the stretch. IMA HIGHONE showed good speed in the going, swerved in the stretch and tired near the end. OUR CHERRYCOTE worked her wav up on the inside on the turn, suffered through the swerving of IMA HIGHONE and held on well. PRECIOUS ANN dropped back on the stretch turn. JIMMY MORAN saved much ground, forced the early pace under light restraint and failed to respond when shaken up on the stretch turn, but finished gamely. KADLAK was outrun early, bore out entering the. stretch and swerved when closine with a rush. PATRICIA MARIAN showed early speed.
