NEW YORK TURF NOTES f ♦ $ NEW YORK, N. Y., May 18. James Rowe, trainer for the Greentree Stable, was the recipient of congratulations on all sides on the magnificent victory of Twenty Grand in the Kentucky Derby. A. J. Joyner has promised that if he finds a suitable opportunity he will give George D. Wideners champion Jamestown a race in some overnight handicap before he is sent to the post in the Withers. If there is no such opportunity the son of St. James will make his first appearance in that old special.
